Terms and Conditions
Effective date: October 1, 2026.
Last updated: October 4, 2026.
These terms explain the scope of Prayer Library, the permitted use of its materials, and our responsibilities. Prayer Library is a free service for reading Catholic prayers, historical novenas, our own prayers and prayer plans, Rosary guides, and related explanations, with tools for planning, saving progress on your device, and printing.
Operator and contact
Prayer Library is operated by Sabiedrība ar ierobežotu atbildību Grigerlab (SIA Grigerlab), company registration number 40103828294, registered address Zvaigžņu iela 2B - 34, Rīga, LV-1009, Latvia. In these terms, “we”, “us”, and “our” mean this operator.
For questions, corrections, privacy requests, or rights notices, contact support@grigerlab.com.
Scope of the service
You can read the library without an account. The library does not provide paid subscriptions, process donations, take orders, or accept payments. A link to another website does not make us the seller or operator of that website. Any purchase or donation made there is governed by the relevant provider’s terms and applicable law.
Prayer Library is an independent resource. It is not a parish, diocese, religious order, or an official service of the Holy See or another Church authority. Mentioning a saint, institution, source, or publication does not imply endorsement, affiliation, ecclesiastical approval, or permission to use an organization’s name or materials beyond the relevant rights.
Religious materials and personal guidance
The materials support prayer, learning, and personal reflection. They do not replace the sacraments, pastoral care, guidance from a qualified priest or spiritual director, or authoritative Church teaching. Our explanations of a prayer or practice do not create a pastoral or professional relationship with you.
We do not promise that reading a prayer, completing a novena, or using a tool will produce a particular spiritual, medical, financial, legal, or personal outcome. Descriptions of traditional devotion, patronage, or reported events are not guarantees that similar events will happen to you. A progress marker records an action in the tool; it is not a judgment about your faith, obligations, or spiritual standing.
Health and urgent situations
Some prayers and explanations concern illness, grief, distress, or other difficult circumstances. They are religious resources, not medical advice, diagnosis, psychotherapy, treatment, or emergency support. Prayer should not delay seeking appropriate care or replace prescribed treatment. Decisions about health should be discussed with a qualified healthcare professional.
If you or another person is in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services. Our contact inbox is not monitored as an emergency or crisis service.
Texts and editorial information
Prayer texts may have different historical versions, translations, and local traditions. A version used here may differ from a text used in your parish or jurisdiction. Source and version information, and our Text and editorial policy, help explain which text you are reading. A source reference does not by itself establish an imprimatur or other ecclesiastical approval of this website.
The library includes historical transcriptions, our own translations prepared from identified source-language texts, and prayers or daily petitions written for Prayer Library. Our translations are our own versions, with the publicly available sources identified in the accompanying notes. A newly written prayer or nine-day arrangement is identified as a Prayer Library version rather than a historically established novena. The relevant text and source notes identify these distinctions and material editorial changes.
We aim to provide clear and accurate materials, but errors, omissions, and outdated explanations can occur. We may correct, replace, or remove content for editorial, legal, or technical reasons. A corrected version may require a new saved attempt. We do not promise to preserve every previous version or keep every page permanently available. Please report errors with the page address and the relevant passage.
Calendars and saved progress
Calendar and Rosary tools are reading aids. Their displayed date, timezone, and schedule should be checked against your location and practice. The usual weekly Rosary cycle may differ from seasonal or local customs. A calculated calendar is not an official liturgical calendar or a determination of a religious obligation.
Saved novena or prayer-plan attempts, start dates, and marked days are stored in the browser you use. There is no account backup or automatic synchronization across devices. Clearing site data, using a different browser, changes to the site address, browser restrictions, or a technical fault may make progress unavailable. Keep a printed or other personal copy if preserving a plan matters to you. The privacy implications of local storage are described in our Privacy Policy.
Reading and printing materials
The Print button opens your browser’s print dialog. Where your browser supports it, you can use that dialog to save a personal copy as a PDF.
To the extent that we hold the rights or permission needed to grant this use, we allow you to read and print materials provided through the site’s reading and print functions for personal, non-commercial use. Keep any source, attribution, copyright, and license notices included with them. Any material-specific license or notice governs the relevant material.
This personal-use permission does not narrow a separate license that permits broader use. Where a material is expressly offered under a Creative Commons or other license, that license governs its reuse, including attribution, notices of changes, or share-alike requirements where applicable. These terms impose no additional restrictions on uses that the material’s license permits. A license on a source website is not a license for every underlying text or translation found there.
Third-party texts, translations, images, trademarks, and fonts remain subject to their owners’ rights and applicable licenses. A traditional prayer or historical source does not automatically make a modern translation, edited edition, image, or layout public domain. Public-domain status and other permitted uses can differ between countries.
Historical source references identify the selected wording and edition; they do not grant rights in a source website, scan images, illustrations, page design, modern commentary, or another translation. A public-domain notice limited to the United States or another named territory is not a worldwide clearance. We do not claim exclusive ownership of traditional or public-domain prayers.
The original Patronessa booklet linked from the St. Charbel prayer plan carries permission to distribute only the complete, unchanged document while retaining its copyright notice. Follow the notice included in that file; permission for an intact booklet does not authorize extracting its wording for a new HTML edition, translating it, or repackaging it in a different PDF. Our own guide or prayer with a similar title is a separate work, not an authorized revision of that booklet.
We grant only rights that we are entitled to grant. Our print function does not authorise commercial resale, redistribution, bulk republication, or incorporation into another product where those rights have not been granted. For distribution to a parish or group, follow the material’s license or request clarification before making additional copies. Nothing here restricts use of public-domain material, quotation, fair use, fair dealing, or another use permitted by applicable law.
Acceptable use
Do not use the service unlawfully, infringe others’ rights, introduce malicious software, bypass access controls, or interfere with the site or other visitors. Automated access must respect applicable rights and must not impose an unreasonable load. This does not prohibit lawful ordinary browsing, printing, accessibility tools, or other lawful uses of the materials.
We may take proportionate steps to restrict abusive traffic or protect security and rights. Such restrictions do not prevent you from making a lawful complaint or exercising a legal right.
External links and availability
External websites have their own operators, content, security practices, and privacy terms. A link is not a guarantee of their accuracy, availability, suitability, or safety. We are not responsible for another operator’s performance merely because we link to its service. This does not remove responsibility that applicable law places on us for our own conduct.
We may maintain, modify, suspend, or discontinue parts of the library where reasonably needed, subject to applicable law. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access, error-free operation, compatibility with every device, or the permanent availability of saved browser data.
Warranties and liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law, the free informational materials and tools are provided “as is” and “as available”, without a contractual guarantee of completeness, fitness for a particular purpose, uninterrupted availability, or a particular result. Where the law permits it, we disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. These qualifications apply only where legally effective and do not override mandatory standards or our own legal duties.
If you use the service for business or professional purposes, and only where this exclusion is legally effective, we exclude liability for indirect or consequential losses and lost profits arising from use or unavailability of the service. This additional exclusion does not apply to consumers.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for fraud, willful misconduct, gross negligence, death or personal injury where liability cannot lawfully be limited, or any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law. Nothing removes mandatory consumer rights, data protection rights, or the rights of third-party rights holders.
Some jurisdictions do not allow particular warranty exclusions or liability limitations. In those jurisdictions, the relevant provision applies only to the extent allowed.
Corrections and rights notices
Send notices to support@grigerlab.com, identifying the page, the material, and the reason for your concern. For an intellectual property notice, explain the right concerned and your authority to make the request, and provide available supporting information and contact details. Please avoid sending unnecessary private or sensitive information.
We review notices under applicable requirements and may request clarification, correct a page, or restrict access to disputed material. This contact route does not require you to approach us before a competent authority or court.
Privacy and changes
Our Privacy Policy explains personal data, browser storage, and whether optional analytics is available. Reading or using the site, or accepting these terms where a contract is formed, is not consent to analytics. Analytics consent is separate and voluntary.
The version in force and its effective date appear on this page. We will give appropriate advance notice on the website of material changes. Changes do not retrospectively remove rights or claims that have already arisen. A new processing purpose that requires consent will be explained and consent requested separately.
Applicable law and disputes
Where a choice of law is legally effective, these terms are governed by Latvian law. If you are a consumer, this does not deprive you of any mandatory protection of the law of your habitual residence that applies under the relevant conflict-of-laws rules, including where our activities are directed to your country.
Disputes may be brought before the courts competent under applicable jurisdiction rules. These terms do not impose mandatory arbitration, waive a right to participate in a class action where that right exists, or require every consumer to bring proceedings exclusively in Latvia.
If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue only insofar as the law permits. These terms have contractual effect only where a contract is validly formed under applicable law; merely publishing them does not create an automatic waiver of a visitor’s rights.
